What can we help with?
Short answers in plain words, from the helpers who do the work.
Scout: Hi, I'm Scout. Quill, Fetch and I share your inbox with you. Start here to see who does what, and how to get around fast.
Getting started
- What Rookery isRookery is email with an assistant built in. It sorts your mail, drafts replies, chases documents and flags scams. Nothing goes out without your yes.
- Meet Scout, Quill and FetchRookery's three helpers each have one job. Scout reads new mail first, Quill drafts replies, and Fetch collects and checks documents.
- Start your day on TodayUpdatedToday shows the three things that need you first, then everything else in short lists, plus what the helpers did while you were away.
- Write a new emailNewStart a new email with the Write button or the c key. Your draft is saved on your device as you type, and every send has a 20-second undo.
- Jump anywhere with ⌘K, and other shortcutsNewPress ⌘K to jump to any page, inbox or tag, or to search your mail. Press ? to see every shortcut. On Windows, use Ctrl.
Quill: I'm Quill. I write replies from what's in the thread and your team's notes, and I show where each fact came from. Nothing goes out without your yes.
Replies with Quill
- Approve a draft, and undo a sendQuill's drafts wait in Needs your yes. Approve one as it is, edit it first, or send it back with a note. Every send has a 20-second undo.
- Choose how much Quill may do on its ownFor each kind of email, choose whether Quill only suggests, drafts for your yes, or sends by itself with an undo window. You always decide.
- See where Quill got its factsEvery draft lists its sources, so you can check each fact before you send. Quill only uses the conversation, your notes and your team playbook.
Scout: I read every email as it lands. If something looks like a scam, I flag it and tell you exactly why. I also keep strangers in the Screener until you let them in.
Staying safe with Scout
- Why Scout flagged an emailNewWhen an email looks like a scam, Scout marks it Possible phishing and lists the reasons. Open Why? to see every signal it found.
- Screen first-time sendersTurn on the Screener and people writing to you for the first time wait outside your inbox. Allow them in with one click, or block them for good.
- Tidy up newsletters and listsSee which newsletters you actually read, and unsubscribe from the ones you don't, in one go. Risky senders get blocked instead.
Fetch: I'm Fetch. Tell me what you need from someone. I'll send a private upload link, check each file as it arrives and remind them until it's all in.
Documents with Fetch
- Ask someone for documentsSend a checklist of the documents you need, with a private upload link. Fetch checks each file and reminds them until it's all in.
- What clients see on the upload pageThe person you ask gets a private page with your checklist. No account, no password. They upload each item and see right away if it's right.
- How Fetch checks each fileFetch checks every upload as it arrives. Is it the document you asked for, and can it be read? If not, the client is told why and asked again.
- Reminders Fetch sends for youFetch reminds people about missing documents 2, 4 and 7 days after you ask, and stops the moment everything required is in.
Quill: Some things shouldn't sit in an inbox forever. Send them as a secure link instead: only the right person can open it, and you can take it back.
Private things
Scout: Your own mail gets help too. I keep your bills in one list, give you private addresses to hand out, and line up your day on Today.
Your own mail
- Keep track of your billsRookery finds bills in your mail and lists them by due date, with the amount. Mark them paid, and see what's due on Today and in your brief.
- Give each service its own addressMake a private email alias for each shop or service. If one starts getting spam, you'll know who leaked it, and you can block it.
- Get your daily briefEach morning Rookery gathers what needs you, like replies, bills, drafts and new senders. See it on Today, or have it emailed to you.
- Keep your own inbox privateMake your own address, like you@company.com, a private inbox. Only you see its mail, while support@ and sales@ stay shared with the team.
Fetch: Fetching is my job, and your own tools can do it too. Make an API key and they can read and act on your mail, the same way we do.
For developers
- Make an API keyAn API key lets your own tools and agents read conversations, add notes, draft replies and ask for documents, with only the permissions you give.
- Connect an AI assistant with MCPConnect Claude Code or another MCP client to Rookery with an API key. It can read your mail, add notes, draft replies and ask for documents.
Nothing matches that yet. Try a shorter word, or ask us.
