Fetch chases

Reminders Fetch sends for you

You shouldn't have to remember who still owes you what. Once you send a document request, Fetch chases it for you.

How reminders work

  1. Fetch sends the first reminder 2 days after your request went out.
  2. It sends the second on day 4, and the last on day 7.
  3. Each reminder says "A quick reminder: we're still waiting for a few documents from you."
  4. It includes the same private link, and lists only what's still missing.
  5. If a file didn't pass the check, the reminder says why and asks for a new one.

When reminders stop

  • When every required document is in
  • When you click Cancel request
  • After the third reminder

Good to know

  • Reminders come from you, the person who asked, so they look like a normal email from you. If a helper made the request, they come from Fetch.
  • Each reminder shows up in the conversation like any reply, with the usual 20-second undo.
  • The conversation shows how many reminders have gone out, like "2 reminders sent".
  • Reminders count from when the request was sent, not from your due date.
  • Optional items are listed in reminders, but they never keep the reminders going on their own.
  • You can't pause or reschedule reminders yet. To stop them, cancel the request.
  • On Today, a Documents card shows requests that are still missing items.
