Say it once. It sticks.
A playbook is a short page of how you like things done, in plain words. Quill follows it and says which one it used on every draft. Every version is kept, so you can roll back.
“Every week I correct the same thing in the drafts: we never give tax advice by email.”
Your way, written down once.
Your rules
BeforeA 40-page manual nobody reads, or nothing written down at all.
With RookeryShort pages of When, Do, Don't, Ask a person and Example.
Corrections
BeforeThe same fix to the same draft, every week.
With RookeryChange the playbook once. The next drafts follow it.
Seeing it work
BeforeYou can't tell why the AI wrote what it wrote.
With RookeryEach draft says which playbook it followed and which version.
Changes
BeforeSomeone edits the rules and nobody notices.
With RookeryEvery version is kept, and you can roll back.
Three steps.
- Write it in plain words.Start from a blank page, or import a Markdown file you already have.
- Publish it.Quill reads the live version when it drafts. Changes to rules about money, bank details or ID need the playbook's owner or an admin.
- See it used.Drafts say which playbook they followed. Roll back to an earlier version any time.
Quill: I followed Refunds v7 on this one: a full refund, and no promise about when the money lands.
The honest bit
- Quill can only read so much at once. If your playbooks don't all fit, the draft waits for you and says so. Picking just the right playbooks for each email is coming. Coming soon
- Trying a change on real mail before you publish isn't here yet. Publish, check the next drafts, and roll back if you need to. Coming soon
Better together.
Questions
Do I need to write a lot?
No. A few lines is plenty. Start with the thing you correct most often.
Can I bring a document I already have?
Yes. Import a Markdown file, and export any playbook as Markdown too.
Can a playbook stop a helper sending on its own?
Yes. Set it to Draft only and anything it covers waits for your yes, whatever the topic allows. A playbook can lower what a helper may do, never raise it.
