# Who at Rookery can see your workspace

Our admin tools show counts and settings, never your mail. Each time someone at Rookery opens your workspace's data, it's in Settings → Activity.

Staying safe · Updated October 17, 2026 · https://userookery.com/help/who-at-rookery-can-see-your-workspace/

People at Rookery don't read your mail. Our admin tools show us counts and settings: how many people, inboxes and conversations a workspace has, its plan, which AI models it uses, and the names of its inboxes. They don't show a subject, a sender, an address or a word of mail.

## Every look is in your activity

Before anyone at Rookery can look at or change your workspace's data in those tools, they have to say why: a support ticket, or what one of your owners asked for. Rookery then records it in your workspace, not only in ours:

- **Who:** "Rookery support" and the person's name.
- **What:** what they looked at or changed, in counts and kinds, such as "4 helper settings and 3 inbox names" or "changed the plan from Team to Business". Never the mail itself.
- **Why:** the reason they typed.
- **When:** the time. If they look at the same thing again for the same reason within half an hour, the entry says how many times.

We use this access to answer something you asked, fix something that's broken, stop abuse of the service, or when the law requires it.

## See it in Settings → Activity

Owners and admins open **Settings → Activity**. Choose **Rookery staff** to see only what people at Rookery did. Each of those entries has a **Rookery staff** label and its reason. **People** shows sign-ins, invites and role changes, and **Settings changes** shows changes to inboxes, who can use them, helpers, API keys and webhooks.

Nobody sees changes to someone else's private inbox here. Rookery staff's entries are the exception: every owner and admin sees them, with a private inbox named only for its owner.

Teammates who aren't owners or admins don't see Activity.

## What this doesn't cover yet

We run the systems Rookery is built on, so staying out of your mail is a rule we keep, not something the technology makes impossible. A few of us can reach the database and storage directly through our hosting provider, to keep the service running and to restore it. Those direct accesses aren't in your activity yet.
