# Tidy up newsletters and lists

See which newsletters you actually read, and unsubscribe from the ones you don't, in one go. Risky senders get blocked instead.

Newsletters pile up. **Newsletters** lists every newsletter and mailing list that writes to you, and how many you opened in the last 90 days. Then it helps you leave the ones you never read.

## Tidy up in one go

1. Open **Newsletters**.
2. Lists you rarely read have a **You rarely read this** sticker.
3. Click **Tidy up** at the top, like "Tidy up 6 lists". Rookery shows every list it will leave.
4. Check the list, then click **Unsubscribe from 6 lists**. Or click **Cancel**.

## Leave one list

1. Find the list in **Newsletters**, or open one of its emails.
2. Click **Unsubscribe**.
3. Some senders only let you leave on their own website. Click **Finish on their site**, unsubscribe there, then come back and click **I did it**.

## Good to know

- Rookery suggests leaving a list when it sent you at least 6 emails in 90 days and you opened very few.
- Only you see what you read. Senders never learn it, and Rookery doesn't use tracking pixels.
- Rookery uses the sender's one-click method when it's safe, or sends an unsubscribe email from your address. It never visits their website for you.
- For strangers, blocked senders and possible spam, you'll see **Block** instead. Unsubscribing from spam tells the sender your address is real.
- Anything a list sends after you leave arrives closed. If it's still sending a week later, you'll see **Still sending after you unsubscribed**, and you can block it.
- Tidy up handles up to 50 lists at a time.
- On Today, a "Tidy up" link appears when there are lists you rarely read.
