# What people see when they book you

Your booking page, the times you offer in an email, and the link in every invite to change or cancel. No account for them, and little to see for anyone else.

People book time with you from a link, without an account. This page is about what they see and what they can do, and what a stranger holding the same link could see. The settings behind each link are in [Set up a booking link](https://userookery.com/help/booking-links/).

## The links people get

- **Your booking page,** like `/b/your-name/intro`, from Settings → Calendar. It shows you and your free times. Search engines don't list it unless you turn that on.
- **Times you offered in an email.** The link books exactly one of those times while they're held (2 working days). When you [asked them to move](https://userookery.com/help/booking-link-in-a-reply/#ask-to-move-a-meeting) a meeting, they tap **Move it here** instead, with nothing to fill in, and the meeting they have moves.
- **A booking link sent in a reply,** like `/b/t/…`. It shows your free times, books into that conversation with their name and email filled in, and works once, within 14 days. Once it's used or runs out, the page says so and shows nothing else. See [Send a booking link in a reply](https://userookery.com/help/booking-link-in-a-reply/).
- **Change or cancel,** in every invite and reminder. It shows the meeting: what it is, with whom, and when. It never shows their name, their address or their answers to your questions.

## Picking a time

- Times are in their own time zone, with **Change** beside it. If your link shows times in your time zone (for a meeting in a place), the page says "Times are in your time, London, where you'll meet" and there's nothing to change.
- If your link offers more than one length, **How long?** comes first, and the times follow the length they pick.
- They pick a day, a time, then fill in their name, email and your questions, and tap **Book it**.

## When you approve bookings first

If your link asks you first (always, or at short notice), the button says **Ask for this time**, and the page says you confirm bookings first.

- After they ask, the page says **Request sent**. The time is held for them, and they get an email saying so.
- The email and the page have **Withdraw request**. Withdrawing needs no code, since nothing is booked yet.
- When you accept, they get the usual invite. When you decline, they get your note and a link to pick another time, and the page says **Not booked**.

## Change the time

They tap **Change time**, pick a new time and tap **Move it to this time**. Their old time stays theirs until the new one is booked, so they can't lose both. The meeting keeps the length they booked. You and they both get the updated invite.

## Cancel

1. They tap **Cancel**, then the page asks **Cancel this booking?** They can tell you why.
2. If the meeting starts within 24 hours, the page first sends a 6-digit code to the address they booked with: **Email me a code**. The code works for 10 minutes, and only that code cancels. That way a forwarded invite, or a link left on a shared computer, can't cancel your meeting at the last minute.
3. **Cancel the booking** tells you and updates the invite in their calendar.

## Using a shared computer

- The change-and-cancel page and the offered-times page have a quiet line at the foot: "Done on a shared computer? **Clear this page**". It closes the page and removes what it saved in that browser, like recent time zones. They see **Cleared from this browser**, and Back doesn't bring the page back. The link in their email still works.
- The pages are never stored by the browser, and show nobody's personal details, so someone who reopens the link from the browser's history learns only the meeting and its time.
- Their name and address only fill the offered-times form while a time is chosen and still held, and a reply's booking link only while it can still book.
- A booking link sent in a reply has **Clear this page** too.

## Your calendar feed

**See Rookery in your calendar** in Settings → Calendar gives you a subscribe link for your calendar app. Anyone with it can see those events, so keep it to yourself.

- It has only Rookery's own calendar: bookings, invites you accepted and times you offered, from 30 days back to a year ahead. Never your connected Google, Microsoft or iCloud calendars.
- **Reset link** makes a new link and stops the old one at once. Use it if the link was shared by mistake, then paste the new one into your calendar app.
- **Turn it off** stops the link without making a new one.
